Our Mission

The Kettle Society's mission is to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with mental illness. We do this by providing advocacy, housing, employment and community services; offering opportunities to gather and access compassionate assistance; supporting recovery for those living with mental illness; promoting mental health in the community; and promoting inclusion of individuals living with mental illness in all aspects of society.

About Us

For 46+ years, the warmth of The Kettle Society (The Kettle Friendship Society) has empowered with people living with mental illness, substance use, poverty, and/or homelessness by providing housing, employment, and mental/physical health & community services designed to ensure dignity and propel possibility.
Our organization serves a community of 6,000+ vulnerable individuals each year, manages 400+ units of supportive housing, and operates a mental health drop-in centre that provides meals every day of the year. We also provide advocacy services, an ID bank, homeless outreach, a women’s transition house, a health clinic, a volunteer program, and supported employment.
